Someone like Ishaan

I met someone who identified with Ishaan of TZP.
Though I loved the movie, I thought it would be like one in a million case of a child being like that.

Few Words for a busy friend

It was on a winter few years back when i broke into sudden poetry out of nowhere, the last thing i thought i would do in life. I wrote few verses to my friends during that season.. here's one of them to a friend who was hassled with lots of work and was gasping for time for herself:(click on the slideshow controls "<< >>" to watch all the four slides")

I hope the poet that possessed me returns someday!

My daddy strongest

When I was small
And full of doubts
He stood tall
And took all my bouts

As I grew
So did my doubts
And then began, a conflict within
With discussions, arguments ...
which ended in shouts

I fought, i cried
As much as he pried
I never thought he was right, never paid heed
But now i know, he was always right, indeed!

Through thick and thin
And through all the troubles of growing from within
Through love and hate, through smile and fury
His unconditional love, made all my troubles scurry

And even now, when by worldly standards
I am independent so to say
My dad is a source of strength, A pillar of support ...
Always there to show me the right way!

The Lost Dream...

I had a dream … I just wanted my dad to be proud of me, just once…
Just once I wanted him to pick me up in his arms and say I love you
Just once I wanted him to look at me and smile
Just once I wanted him to say “you have done a great job”
Just once I wanted him to say” lets go out for a walk”
Just once I wanted him to say “its ok, don’t worry”

Every day I woke up and thought that today I could achieve or do what he wanted me to do … and get at least one part of my dream fulfilled … but that day never came … I gave up on him but still I have not given upon my self … … the iSHAAn in me still waiting for my dad to pick me up … he still out there waiting with a hope that one day his dream would be fulfilled and “Just once” DAD WOULD BE PROUD OF ME …. Just once

Once I was iSHAAИ

We'll have one common friend "COMPARISON"

We all have a part of iSHAAИ (of Taare Zameen Par) in ourselves.
Those mock fights in bathroom, free hand abstract paintings with striking colors … enmity with books and daily wrestles with dad !! but it all had one friend in common “COMPARISON”

Today, after achieving something in life overcoming those daily struggles, I still have one old friend in common … COMPARISON.

There’s poetry in all of us, but not all of us are poets … I would not let myself down today …
I was never first; though I was never last,
I needed a guided path, but you considered I was always fast.

Think last when you sat for my lesson, but you always remembered, I have never won,
Come PA... rid this son !! comparison !! comparison !!

When I saw TZP, I just felt am watching a rewinded tape of my life !!
let’s find an ishaan in ourselves, lets share our part of ishaan on this blog !!
